Overview
The Waveform Monoradial-W is a timeless shape in architectural acoustics, used in auditoriums to blend the direct and reflected sound to increase intelligibility and/or enhance musical clarity and intimacy. The Waveform Monoradial-W is a Class A fire rated, FSC certified wood unit with no added urea formaldehyde. When absorptive material is placed into the rear cavity of the assembled unit, significant reverberation time reduction can also be accomplished.
A canopy design approach will increase intelligibility, enhance musical clarity and improve intimacy. Typically, curved canopy arrays are used instead of flat to provide not only the needed early reflections, but also provide some scattering of the reflected energy to more uniformly address a broader selection of the audience.
